Which currencies can I accept with Payment Processing, Inc products?PPI payment products allow you to accept payments from US or Canadian customers, however, your Internet merchant account must be set up in one currency or the other, just like your regular bank account. You can accept payments from US cardholders with your Canadian dollar Internet merchant account but prices and transaction amounts would appear as Canadian dollars. The same is true of accepting payments from Canadian cardholders through your US merchant account: prices and transaction amounts would appear as US dollars. ^ top How do I charge customers in Canadian funds?If you want transactions to be processed as Canadian dollars, you must have a Canadian dollar Internet merchant account. ^ top How do I do I charge customers in US funds?If you want transactions to be processed as US dollars, you must have a US dollar Internet merchant account. ^ top Can I charge customers in both US and Canadian funds?Yes, but it would require a separate merchant account and payment product for each currency type. The question is: how do you want your customers to see pricing and how do you want to see transaction amounts? If you want your customers to see pricing in US dollars, you need a US dollar merchant account and a product configured to process US dollars. If you want your customers to see pricing in Canadian dollars, you need a Canadian dollar merchant account and a product configured to process Canadian dollars. ^ top
